AROMATHERAPY BUKAN SEKEDAR WEWANGIAN

                                  

AROMATHERAPY sedang tren untuk produk perawatan tubuh dengan atribut wewangian yang merilekskan. Padahal aromatherapy bukan cuma wangi. Aromatherapy sejatinya merupakan terapi pengobatan holistik yang menggunakan bahan alami berupa saripati tetumbuhan beraroma. Guna mendapatkan khasiat aromatherapy yang sebenarnya Anda harus menggunakan essential oil alami yang berasal dari tumbuhan dan bukan essential oil sintetis dari bahan kimia, sekalipun memiliki wangi yang serupa.

Pasalnya harga essential oil jasmine dan rose yang asli amat mahal, untuk 5 ml saja harganya bisa mencapai ratusan ribu hingga jutaan rupiah. Walaupun essential oil sintetis memiliki aroma yang nyaris serupa dengan essential oil aslinya, namun minyak esential sintetis tidak bisa meniru kandungan zat aktif dalam essential oil yang sangat kompleks, padahal zat aktif itulah yang memiliki khasiat bagi kesehatan dan kecantikan. Khasiat essential itu yang membuat ia banyak dipakai sebagai bahan pewangi dalam produk kosmetik alami atau organic skin care. Karena selain aman, ia juga memiliki khasiat untuk merawat kulit.

 
Ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penggunaan aromatherapy, antara lain memperhatikan kontraindikasi essential oil bersangkutan dengan kondisi kesehatan Anda. Selain itu, selalu mengencerkan essential oil sebelum dioleskan ke tubuh yakni dengan mencampurnya dengan base oil (minyak nabati) dengan konsentrasi maksimal 3%.
